Acrostics
Acrostics is a simple concept activity than can be accessed by students of all ages and ability levels. Differentiation and scaffolding are embedded in the strategy. It is simple to use and adapt across the curriculum. Acrostics can be used to introduce or asses a concept as well as to determine what students know about a topic.
How to: Select a word. Write the word vertically. Generate a word or phrase that begins with the letter and write it. Continue with each letter in the word.
