Clustering/Mind Map/Webbing
Clustering, Mind Map, Webbing is a strategy that helps students organize their ideas and stay focused on a subject. Further, it helps students develop their ideas, deepen understanding, build connections, and identify important points about a topic. The strategy enhances metacognition and expands thinking. Clustering, Mind Map, Webbing is applicable for any curriculum area. Differentiation and enrichment for students who need support or the opportunity to accelerate their learning is rooted in the strategy. This strategy can be used either as a whole class, small group, and individual task.
How to: Write the topic or concept in the center of the circle. The outer circles are points connected to the larger topic. They can be completely pre-determined by the teacher (who, what, why, how, etc), partially set by the teacher, or generated by the class. It can also be used in conjunction with other strategies.

2. Identify the parts of a novel or play
3. Summarization of a topic
4. Parts of speech
5. Anticipatory set
6. Sequence/Chronological Order
