Diamante
Diamante is a seven line poem with a highly organized structure and format. When completed it is shaped like a diamond. Diamante uses grammar to develop concepts and reinforce vocabulary development with synonyms and antonyms. Diamante reinforces concept development by requiring precise use of words to describe a term and then shift to a second term. It can be used in any subject area and is easy to adapt to meet the needs of high ability learners or students who need additional scaffolding and differentiation to access complex concepts.
